Our standard: useful answers with clear evidence

A.P. Lyon publishes guidance to help medical-device teams choose and organize quality-system documentation. We aim to answer the actual decision, explain its limits and point readers to applicable primary references. A longer article, a confident tone or a search ranking does not establish that a conclusion is correct. This policy sets the standard for our guidance and the way readers can raise corrections.

A.P. Lyon serves customers in 45 countries, as confirmed by the company. This describes customer reach and does not imply regulatory approval, certification or an independent review of every product.

Publisher, authorship and commercial interests

A.P. Lyon is the publisher of these guides and sells the documentation linked in them. Product recommendations therefore have a commercial relationship to the publisher. We explain the workflow a document supports, relevant bundle overlap and situations where existing documentation may be sufficient. A recommendation should help identify a real gap rather than imply that every reader needs another purchase.

Aaron Lyon is the founder of A.P. Lyon. His professional background is described on our About page. Guides are drafted with AI assistance and reviewed and approved by Aaron Lyon before publication. The byline does not mean every sentence was personally written by him. Where a specific technical reviewer and review scope are identified, those details should be read as stated rather than extended to unrelated products or claims.

AI-assisted preparation

AI tools assist research, drafting, formatting and source checks for our guides. AI output is not an authoritative regulatory or technical source. We distinguish linked source material from our implementation recommendations, and do not represent fictional examples as actual client projects. AI assistance and source checks do not substitute for competent device-specific technical judgment, legal advice or an audit of the full applicable requirements.

Requirements, standards, guidance and recommendations

Regulations, incorporated standards, other standards and authority guidance can have different roles. We identify the relevant reference and qualify applicability to the device, process and market. Readers should consult the full applicable text before approving a decision. A general article does not establish that a particular device is exempt, that one study is adequate or that a reporting obligation has been satisfied.

Our tables, checklists and planning examples are implementation aids. They are not universal acceptance limits, mandatory sample counts or official regulator instructions. When an older reference is useful for explaining a method, we identify its historical context instead of presenting it as the current regulation.

Sources and the limits of a source check

We prefer regulators, standards publishers and other primary sources for regulatory and technical statements. Product-selection advice is checked against the product descriptions and content lists available for the offers discussed. We retain links so readers can examine the basis and scope.

A public standard overview can verify its title, publication status and broad subject; it does not supply every clause of the licensed standard. We do not describe reading an overview as a complete standards audit. When evidence is unavailable or insufficient for a claim, the claim needs qualification, further evidence or removal. Company experience statements and customer endorsements also need support; they do not imply regulator approval or certification.

Review dates and product revisions

A guide review date records a review of that page’s content and references. It is not a promise that the page will never become outdated. New regulations, revised standards, product-scope changes or a substantiated correction can require another review. The date alone should not be treated as evidence that a change was implemented.

A guide update is separate from a revision of a downloadable procedure, form or protocol. Do not assume that an article review date changed a product’s controlled revision, ECN, effectivity date or download. Use the product’s actual documentation and controlled information to assess that version.

What a product purchase does and does not establish

Our editable documents provide a starting structure for the workflows described in the relevant listing. The buyer must assess applicability, tailor the documents, approve responsibilities and methods, train personnel where needed and generate its own execution evidence. Purchasing or downloading a document does not establish compliance, certification, validation success, study authorization or suitability of an unsupported claim.

Before buying a bundle, compare its exact content list with your current system. Before buying an individual document, check whether you already own it in another package. Where the missing element is actual testing, data, investigation or implementation, another template may not solve the problem.

Corrections and questions

To report a possible error, contact info@aplyon.com or use our contact page. Include the page URL, the statement in question, the relevant source or product detail and why the statement may be inaccurate. Please do not submit patient information, confidential device records or other sensitive material through a public comment.

A correction should be evaluated against the relevant evidence. If a correction changes a substantive conclusion, the affected content should be revised and the change explained with an appropriate date. A product-download issue requires its own assessment rather than only editing a guide. We do not promise a particular correction outcome before reviewing the facts.

Publication record

Published October 13, 2026. This is A.P. Lyon’s editorial standard for its guidance, not an independent certification or evidence of improved search performance. We assess visibility and business results through observed citations, visits and purchases rather than claim that publication guarantees an AI-search recommendation.
