Scope and intended use
Assess each software function according to its actual intended use in design and development, production, service, monitoring and measurement, quality management, complaint handling and post-distribution activities. Software that is itself a medical device or part of a finished device is governed by applicable device software procedures; any separate quality system or production use of the same software remains within this procedure.
