Respirator selection, qualification and records

The respiratory-protection program addresses when a respirator is justified, selection for the identified hazard, medical assessment and fit testing, training, use, cleaning, storage and maintenance. The procedure also considers engineering or environmental controls that may reduce exposure. Fit-test and training records give the program owner evidence that personnel were qualified for the equipment assigned to them.
